OpenSMTPD Description

OpenSMTPD is a free and open source implementation of a server-side SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), as defined by RFC 5321. It includes various extra extensions and allows regular systems to exchange email messages with other machines that understand the SMTP protocol. OpenSMTPD has been created from the ground up as a replacement for existing SMTP implementations, providing a reasonable and complete implementation of the SMTP protocol. It is part of the OpenBSD Project and can be used on all Linux-based distributions, as well as on the OpenBSD operating system.
