KDE Frameworks Description

KDE Frameworks (previously known as KDElibs or KDE Platform) is an open source collection of libraries for the KDE desktop environment, ported to the Qt5 framework. KDE Frameworks includes the code base of almost all KDE applications, with well-defined abilities and dependencies, providing high-level functionality like menus and toolbars, file access and spell checking. The KDE libraries comprised in this project are distributed as independent and cross-platform modules, called Qt Addons, available to all Qt developers who want to accelerate, simplify, and reduce the cost of Qt development on any platform.
