JWM Description

JWM (Joe's Window Manager) is an open source and lightweight window manager written in C and specifically designed for the X Window System, supporting all POSIX-compliant operating systems, including GNU/Linux. JWM is written in C and uses only the Xlib library, in order to provide a small footprint and a good window manager for less powerful systems (e.g. Raspberry Pi) or older computers. Damn Small Linux and Puppy Linux were among the first Linux distributions based on the JWM window manager. Today, Joe's Window Manager can be found in many Linux-based operating systems and it is considered a good alternative to clunky desktop environments.
