gBurner Description

video prev next Among the wide array of disc burning software tools available, gBurner stands out from its competitors in terms of usability and versatility. With this tool, you can create, burn, and back up as a disc image file all kinds of data, audio, and video discs (including Blu-ray discs). Besides, it offers tools to create bootable, multisession, and multimode discs, and to convert disc image files between formats. gBurner’s interface is both colorful and clear. All the disc types you can create and the tools you can use are nicely organized and easily accessible on the left-hand side of the main screen. All the options and settings required to perform any of the disc creation tasks or to make use of the toolbox provided are displayed in the same interface, a much cleaner solution than opening each task in a new window. The program offers specific menu options for data, audio, and video discs, including multisession data discs, mixed-mode audio CDs, DVDs, Video and Super Video CDs, etc. Interspersed among the main options, you will also find some useful tools different from those in the toolbox at the bottom of the main menu. Thus, you will find an Audio CD ripper in the Audio section, and Make Image and Burn Image in the Copy menu option. The toolbox contains utilities to convert images between formats, write bootable USB drives, erase rewritable discs, and to display technical information about your discs and drives. gBurner supports all well-known disc image files, including some virtual ones. It also supports a wide range of audio codecs, all kinds of discs, file systems, and Unicode names. This versatility, together with its intuitive interface make this tool one of the few disc-burning tools out there worth trying. Francisco Martínez Editor rating:
