Andreal DeskLock is a lightweight software application whose purpose is to help users protect their sensitive data from unauthorized viewing by setting up passwords. You are not allowed to access your screen, open the configuration window, or set up a new password until you provide the default one. Andreal DeskLock gives you the possibility to lock the screen by setting up passwords and enter a custom message to be displayed while the computer is locked. When it comes to configuration settings, you are allowed to pick a background image by uploading one from the computer, provided that the file format is JPG, make the utility run at Windows startup, and select the transparency. Since there aren’t many dedicated parameters, even rookies can master the entire process with minimum effort. During our testing we have noticed that Andreal DeskLock carries out a task quickly, and without errors throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t burden the overall performance of the computer, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality. All things considered, Andreal DeskLock offers a simple yet efficient software solution when it comes to helping you lock your screen while you are away.
