pCloud Drive allows connecting to your profile in pCloud, one of the most widely used online storage services. There are various reasons why people decide to keep their data in the Cloud. First, there is the possibility to synchronize contents on multiple devices, independently of your location. Second, you can expand your computer’s storage capacity without needing to invest on another hard drive and the like. Finally, it is probably one of the most convenient ways to share information with others. There is nothing particularly difficult about using pCloud Drive. Once the program is installed and the system properly rebooted, it is necessary to provide pCloud credentials to login. Moreover, there is the possibility to sign up in pCloud with an e-mail, Facebook, Google, or iTunes account. From this moment on, the program minimizes to the system tray, from where you can access it to modify the settings. You will also notice that there is a new drive letter, just like what happens when you insert an external storage device. You can access your files either from the pCloud Drive or from the browser version. It's all up to you! There is identical data on both. Fortunately, it supports all common operations, like copying and moving. Thus, when you make a change in any of the elements stored on your pCloud profile, it is automatically updated on all the devices that are connected at the moment. Finally, it is good news that you can use the option "invite to folder" and allow others to make changes to your content or use the shared link to send data. pCloud is a highly secured platform with military encryption. On the top of that, there is an additional feature for extra layer protection - Encrypted Folder, which has zero-knowledge encryption. Your files will be encrypted before they even get to the pCloud's servers. One of the newest pCloud's features is that backup has no file size or speed restrictions. You can mark any folders that you want to save to the cloud, and pCloud will upload their contents to your account automatically. Any changes you make on your computer to the files and folders, which you have backed up will be replicated in real-time to your cloud account. On top of that, you can back up third-party applications, like other cloud storage and social media sites.Using either the pCloud Drive or browser version, you can download the mobile app in order to access your files. The mobile app will allow you to free up storage space on your phone and back up your data using the automatic upload feature. Moreover, you can recover any file from a specific date and time in the past while using the pCloud Rewind feature. You can rewind your account for up to 30 days. The rewind files will be available in a separate folder in the root folder. This awesome feature will allow you to get the original files that you had in case of unwanted changes that you accidentally made to your data. One of the things that I like the most from pCloud is the possibility to perform remote downloads. This means that, instead of downloading a given file to my PC, I can transfer it directly to my pCloud space. Then, I can share it or download to my computer at any time. This is a great choice when a given download does not support resuming. There is only one disadvantage I can think of: pCloud Drive does not allow setting a proxy server. All in all, pCloud Drive allows accessing a fast and reliable remote data storage service. The program as such is free but the service is available in various plans. Thus, a free plan provides up to 10 GB of storage space and 50 GB of shared link traffic per month.
