i2Symbol Description

i2Symbol is a Firefox addon designed to enable you to personalize and decorate your emails, tweets, comments, ads and status on social networks such as Facebook. Each symbol is only 1 character to save your message length, which is a great feature for twitter fans. Symbols are categorized to more than 50+ classes to ease visual search. i2Symbol covers nearly all world alphabets and numerals, and hence can be used as a virtual keyboard for typing all world languages, accent marks, and diacritics. While web users can copy symbols as text, web designers may need to copy it as html to insert in code. I2Symbol provides a simple editor to type your text message. To add a symbol, just click its button using left mouse click. When you click the blue button labeled “Copy”, the typed text is copied to your clipboard, which can then be pasted to any other running application using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V, Shift+Insert, or the menu item Paste. During typing, you can control the font name and size. However, unless you are pasting your message to an editor that supports Html (i.e., Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail, Microsoft word, etc) all your formats will be ignored. For twitter fans, as you type in, a counter shows the number of remaining characters out of 140. Draw more attention to your tweets or short messages by wrapping them inside styled frames created using the box elements category.
