WinMIX-FEED Description

This program establishes a composite feed formulation for all types of livestock, in any zootechnical function. This fact permits complete autonomy for every entity that needs this kind of calculation,particularly feed manufacturers and livestock farms that produce their own composite feeds. The linear programming method adopted consists of minimizing a function-objective (cost of raw materials), subject to restrictions arising from nutrient and raw materials' limits. A formula is thus arrived at, which corresponds to the minimum cost possible for the restrictions imposed.After the optimized solution, a post-optimization routine is run to give a broader sensitivity analysis. The application can also handle supply management; starting from a list of formulas to be produced and a list of existing stocks,it performs the calculation and shows the quantities of raw materials that have to be acquired. Furthermore, WinMIX-FEED has specific routines for quickly updating prices and current stocks of raw materials, and for multi-processing,which enables the desired formulas to be recalculated automatically and simultaneously, duly updated (prices). The program is multi-enterprise, enabling raw materials and formulas to be individualized, by the user, for instance. Languages supported: French, Spanish, Portuguese
