Turbo Favorites Checker is a lightweight Windows freebie developed to help you fix broken bookmarks, providing only a few options and a very simple interface to interact with its users. Besides the fact that it supports Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox bookmarks, the application can also load a bookmark file and fix the broken links based on user-defined parameters. The program relies on a step-by-step wizard that guides you throughout the entire process, so you have nothing more to do than to follow the presented instructions. First of all, users are prompted to choose the source of the bookmarks, with three options at your disposal: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or a stand-alone bookmark file. Turbo Favorites Checker can fix “404 Site not found” errors either by changing the link to the root website or by deleting the entry completely. Additionally, it can handle “500 Internal server error” issues by removing the broken bookmark, while I can ignore or delete the entry when connection to site fails. Turbo Favorites Checker processes all bookmarks very fast and we haven’t noticed any significant slowdown during our testing. The application runs smoothly on all Windows versions and comes with separate builds for x86 and x64 versions. All in all, Turbo Favorites Checker is quite a handy piece of software, especially because browsers come with more and more advanced bookmark managers.
