You can expect 20% to 60% extra lossless compression on your raw images, even if they were already compressed in camera. Actual compression ratio depends on a number of factors like the camera model, image content, noise level, quality of in-camera compression etc... Compression is totally lossless. You get back the exact raw image file, every byte of it (think of lossless zip compression, not lossy jpeg compression). Preserving the exact original file means both the pixel data and the meta information are perfectly restored.
