QUICK MEDIA PLAYER Description

QUICK MEDIA PLAYER is a lightweight and portable application developed to help users easily play media files using standard controls. It can be figured out even by users with limited experience in media players, thanks to its overall simplicity. Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the program files to any location on the hard disk and just click the executable to run. It is also possible to save QUICK MEDIA PLAYER to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to use it on any PC seamlessly, without previous installers. What's more, the tool does not create registry entries, nor additional files on the disk, leaving it clean after removal. The interface is outdated to say the least. The video frame does not change its size when resizing the main window, and it is not possible to navigate back and forth within the video stream. Media files can be opened using the file browser only, since the drag-and-drop function is not featured. QUICK MEDIA PLAYER is supposed to support playlists, but we failed in our attempt to create one during our evaluation. Other than that, the app runs on low-to-moderate RAM and low CPU, so it does not affect the overall performance of the PC. It has a good response time and works well, without hanging, crashing or popping up error dialogs. However, QUICK MEDIA PLAYER needs some improvements in all aspects.
