LazPaint Description

LazPaint is a powerful and feature-rich graphic editor. Being an open-source and free tool, it comes for Windows and Linux and offeres a lot of handy functions and built-in tools. It is written in Lazarus (Free Pascal) and it was initially created to demonstrate the capabilities of the graphic library BGRABitmap (which includes a set of drawing routines), therefore it is capable of performing special, more intricate tasks, like extracting an object with spline selection in order to add a glow effect to it. This comprehensive application can also read Paint.NET files. Of course, the usual features that every decent graphic editor should have are also available within LazPaint, including the advanced ones like texture generation, antialiasing, shaded shapes, support for layers, color adjustment, filters, deformations, unlimited “undo” operations, alpha blending, rotation options, and many other more. Despite being such a comprehensive tool, LazPaint is pretty easy to use. Its interface is well-structured and intuitive, allowing even beginners to handle this application without much trouble. To sum it all up, LazPaint is a great graphic editor that leaves no room for complaints. It works flawlessly, it’s easy to use, it’s free, and it comes with a lot of cool features.
