Journal2Day Description

If you want to keep a journal or personal diary and keep your thoughts away from prying eyes, Journal2Day is a nice electronic alternative to classic paper diary books with an option to lock your notes away using a password. You can add your personal mood, the current weather data, and even a picture of yourself to your notes by taking a snapshot via your webcam. The program includes all the features you need to write your thoughts or personal impressions of the day and keep them safely locked and away from uninvited readers, but do not expect to find a full-featured word processor. Its functionality reminds me of WordPad (or any other similar note-taking tool, for that matter) but with 256-bit AES encryption, which makes its price tag a bit hard to swallow. Actually, in terms of word-processing capabilities, it leaves a bit to be desired, focusing more in those other gadgets specific to this tool mentioned above. The Mood Gadget is especially interesting, as it comes with a Mood Chart that will let you see how your mood’s ups and downs in the time range of your choice. Apart from notes about your mood, the actual weather, and a picture of yourself, you can add “prompts” to your personal thoughts. Journal2Day includes a prompts library with mental health hints, Bible verses, famous quotes, and “130 journal writing prompts”, which will provide you with “food for thoughts”. Journal2Day is tool especially designed to help you write and protect your private thoughts and notes in a serious way. Nothing that you couldn’t do using your favorite word processor and protecting the file with a password when saving it, but the cute gadgets it comes with make it really convenient for the purpose. If you are willing to pay the price to acquire a lifetime license number, I can’t see no reason why you shouldn’t swap your old paper diary with its tiny mechanical lock to a more secure electronic version of it.
