Imparfait To Parfait Description

Imparfait To Parfait is a computer program to help you master French verbs. It has two types of exercises: conjugation and deconjugation. Conjugation exercises require you to identify the various conjugations (first person singular for use with je, second person singular for use with tu etc) for tenses such as the present, imperfect and so on. These exercises will increase your skill in speaking and writing French; having identified the verb you want to use you will become more proficient at handling the appropriate tense. Contrariwise, the deconjugation exercise requires you to work the opposite way round: a conjugated part of the tense of a verb (chosen by the computer) is given to you, and you have to select the correct verb(s), correct tense(s) and correct person (s). These exercises will increase your skill in listening to and reading French; you will be able to work out what verb, tense and person is being used and hence understand the intended meaning. A feature of the program is that the user decides on his/her confidence in answering a question and this determines the time before the user is tested again.
