EnumProto Description

The EnumProto application was designed to be a small tool to display and optionally remove installed Winsock LSP modules Layered Service Providers. Today many spyware/adware/malware install LSP modules to capture network traffic and send statistics to some company. After removing such spyware Winsock APIs may fail for all applications because there are registry references to LSP modules that no longer exists. In Windows XP SP2 you can reset LSP chain using the command netsh winsock reset but with earlier versions it was almost impossible without reinstalling the TCP / IP protocol. The enumproto simplifies the procedure of removing LSP modules from the chain.
