DocDockFREE - Personal Edition This is our introductory version designed to provide good value and functionality at a price all companies can afford: FREE!!! You and 10 "Friends" can can documents over the web. DocDockFREE is limited to 100 documents, but let's face it, that's quite a few. Did I mention that this web server based application is FREE? And it even includes a royalty-free, no-cost database engine courtesy of Microsoft that allows you to store an unlimited number of photo albums and pictures. What's the catch? Well, we would feel much better (metaphysically speaking) if you upgraded to our Professional Edition with no preset user or document limits and free email support and feature upgrades (for the duration of your low-cost subscription $149 USD/year), but what the heck; enjoy! Think of all the stuff (translation: files, pictures, documents, music, video) that you could share with your friends, family or Business Contacts. For FREE!!! All editions of the DocDock Documents family of Document Management software can handle virtually any type of file format that you can throw at it. Your files are encrypted during the upload process and stored as bits and bytes (BLOB - Binary Large OBject type thingy) inside a password-protected SQL database. Lesser programs are still using old fashioned file-based document storage where every Tom, Dick, or Harry ( or Suzie, Sam, and Cindy) can get at them. Role-based access rules protect your valuable stuff (ie. Digital Assets in big word GeekSpeak...), and you can easily control who see what and when.
