DirCollector Description

DirCollector is a small, smart, easy-to-use tool designed to collect directory catalogs for CD, HDD, directories shared on network, FTP and any other disks, and to store it compressed on local disk, then browse off-line. Directory CollectorDirCollectordirectory tree of local disk folders, of local network shared folders, of any removable disks (CD, Optic, Flash, Zip, Floppy etc.) and even works with FTP directories. Several (unrestricted) folders can be scanned or re-scanned simultaneously, and you can still continue your work with other scanned folders. For case if a folder is not available this time, it is possible to undo re-scanning. (But only if you did not save changes). It is possible to browse stored catalogs offline, annotate it, assign categories and export categorizied list into Html files. Files could be searched by name (not finished: there are no jump to the tree / filelist), or by category (not finished: before changing category/description you should double-click file to jump to the tree/filelist). Main features: Allows to scan or re-scan several directories at the same time, and to do other works simultaneously. Launching associated program in a separate thread (no stop of other works). Easy annotation and categorization. Search by name and by category. Export to HTML by categories tree.
