DesktopTweet Description

DesktopTweet is a software utility which was designed in order to help people capture certain parts of their screen and post them to their Twitter account. The installation process does not bring any surprises and it is fairly short. After this is finalized, you come face to face with an intuitive and simple interface, which allows users to find their way around it, without running into difficulties. The software tool does not get in the way, as it goes in the system tray from the first launch. Double-clicking on the icon enables you to take a snapshot of the desktop. Changing the size of the capture is possible by dragging the window. You should also know that you can view the resolution, as the width and length are displayed (expressed in pixels) next to the aforementioned window. The snapshot can be saved to the hard drive in a PNG file format, or posted on your Twitter account, along with a caption. The text can be larger than 140 characters, only it may end up clipped, so it might be best to try and be succinct. There is also a drop-down menu, from which you can choose a type of service. To be more exact, you can use TweetPhoto, TwitrPix, Twitgoo, TwitPic, Pikchur and the list goes on. From the settings panel you can change sign-in details, change the snapshot hotkey, display a message after the picture uploads successfully and check for updates. CPU is minimal, while memory usage is moderate, even when the program is in the system tray. However, response time is good. Taking all of this into consideration, DesktopTweet is a simple, yet useful application, when it comes to posting snapshots of the desktop to your Twitter account.
