DH Port Scanner is a lightweight and portable software tool designed to scan an IP address for open ports (if any). It lets users specify the port range and copy results to the Clipboard. Portability vs. installers Since there is no installation involved, you can place the program files in any place on the hard disk and just click the executable to run. There is also the possibility to save DH Port Scanner to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC effortlessly and without previously installing anything. An important aspect to take into consideration is that the Windows registry and Start menu do not get updated with new entries, as it typically happens with installers. Attractive and intuitive UI As far as the interface is concerned, DH Port Scanner adopts a modern look. The main window has a Matrix green theme, in addition to providing quick access to all options. All it takes is to enter an IP address (even localhost), along with the start and end port, in order to initialize the scanning procedure. The current status is revealed on the bottom part of the screen, and results show all open ports. Easily copy port numbers You can make a selection and copy it to the Clipboard using the global keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+C) or context menu entry. There are no other features worth mentioning here. DH Port Scanner is very low-demanding when it comes to CPU and RAM, so its impact on system performance is minimal. We have not come across any kind of issues throughout our evaluation, since the tool did not hang, crash or display error dialogs. Overall, an effective port scanner To sum it up, DH Port Scanner delivers a simple solution to scanning IP addresses for open ports, and it can be used even by those with no prior experience in networking applications.
