DriveMate Free! - a simple powerful application that automatically detects your car's motion and when activated it displays an overlay screen on your Android device to let you know that it is functioning. While the overlay is displayed DriveMate Free! blocks access to the phone and its many distractions. DriveMate Free! automatically detects when your car is moving faster than 10MPH. While the overlay screen is displayed it will automatically respond to text messages and callers in your contact list with a custom SMS message. DriveMate Free! only responds to people in your contact list because most people may not want to respond to strangers or unsolicited/unkown callers. All calls and messages can be retrieved as they would normally when you have safely stopped your car. Don't be distracted while driving, use DriveMate Free! to let friends and family know you are driving. Set a good example and let your friends and family know not to let distractions interfere while you're driving. This is a great application to install on both yours and your children's phones. DriveMate Free! can be configured to operate automatically or manually. In automatic mode it does not need to be opened to activate. DriveMate Free! will automatically activate itself upon detecting your car's movement. The overlay screen will remain activated for one minute after your car stops. But, with a built in 'walking' algorithm DriveMate Free! will detect when you leave your car and disable immediately after you start walking. DriveMate Free! uses advanced proprietary GPS management capabilities to minimize power usage while in operation. And, it incorporates additional advanced sensor management algorithms to maximize sensitivity for better operation and minimize power usage.
