Simple script that will allow you to schedule a file to automatically open at a given date. open-File-Alarm Creator is a simple script that links applications (or even another Applescript script) with iCal and automates their opening at a user-defined date and time.When this script is run, it will prompt for inputs that iCal needs viz., event name, starting date, end date, the path to the linked application (or script) and the recurrence option (how often the event is to be repeated). open-File-Alarm Creator will launch iCal in order to create the event.Finally, the user is given the option to keep the computer active or put it to sleep and let the script wake up it up before iCal activates the linked application.Note that the user will be prompted to supply the computer password before putting it to sleep.What maybe a good, simple example of the use of this script?
