HaploGeneMapper Description

Open source visualizer for the genomic proximity of haploinsufficient genes to segmental duplications HaploGeneMapper is a free and open source tool built to visualize the genomic proximity of haploinsufficient genes to segmental duplications on achromosome-by-chromosome basis.Corresponding pairs of segmental duplications, which may be subject to non-allelic homologous recombination, can be highlighted using the cursor. Similarly, the names of haploinsufficient genes and segmental duplications can be displayed by hovering the cursor over them. If required, the user can zoom into a section of the selected chromosome by providing the start and end coordinates of the desired region. Here are some key features of "HaploGeneMapper": · Colorful, clear and customizable visualization of features on one or more chromosomes simultaneously. · Zoom in on any part of the chromosome. · Very simple input format. Scripts are provided for the generation of input files from regular lists of genes or segmental duplications in text files. · High flexibility: although it was originally developed to display haploinsufficient genes and segmental duplications, it can be used to represent any features with interesting spatial relationships within a genome. Requirements: · Java 1.6 or later
