Murrina Humanity Description

A dark Murrina theme for the GNOME desktop Murrina Humanity is an attempt to create a consistent and functional dark theme with an Ubuntuish colour scheme. It is darker, subtler and more heavily saturated than Dark Room.Developer commentsI've been working on and using this theme for about three months now, during which period it's gone through two complete re-writes and numerous bug fixes and cosmetic alterations. That said, I'm sure I've missed many things. Bug reports and bug fixes are welcome, as are aesthetic suggestions.Dark GTK+ themes have a number of inherent problems in Firefox and, especially, OpenOffice. I do not think there is a solution at present, short of making sure (which I have) that most everything can be read even if it's dark on dark or light on light.Saturation is hard to get right for different screens and their users. If you toy around with alternative values, I'd like to hear what you come up with. It's easy to do so using GNOME Apperance Preferences or editing the values in the gtkrc on line 10.How to install?· Right click on your desktop and select Change Desktop Background· Click on the first tab: Theme· Drag and drop the theme's archive in the Appearance Preferences window.· If everything is OK, you will receive a confirmation message and you can activate the theme just by clicking on it.About GNOME:GNOME is an international effort to build a complete desktop environment—the graphical user interface which sits on top of a computer operating system—entirely from free software. This goal includes creating software development frameworks, selecting application software for the desktop, and working on the programs which manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management.GNOME is part of the GNU Project and can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, most notably Linux, and as part of Java Desktop System in Solaris. The name originally stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment, though this acronym is deprecated. The GNOME project puts heavy emphasis on simplicity, usability, and making things “just work”. Requirements: · gtk+ · GNOME
