GNOME Sound Recorder is an open source, simple, modern and free graphical application designed in GTK+ for the GNOME desktop environment. It allows users to record sound directly from their GNOME desktop or laptop computer. With a simple and modern user interface, GNOME Sound Recorder will offer users a straight-forward way to record, as well as to play previous records. The application save recording automatically and stores them in a folder inside your Home directory. It supports multiple audio formats, including OGG (default), FLAC, MP3, MOV, and Opus. GNOME Sound Recorder can be used to create and edit sound for screencasts, create voice memos, code by voice, as well as to voice search on the desktop.
