Ambiance-bordered (no desktop effects) Description

A mod of the Ambiance theme for Ubuntu 11.04 Ambiance-bordered is a GTK theme created to provide better usability over the original Ambiance for users without desktop effects enabled.Changes include:- There is now a dark border around the window contents for easier visibility of the window edge in the absence of a compositing engine's shadows. A side-benefit of this change is that it is now much easier to resize the window borders by dragging the edges.- Pop-up menu boundaries are now slightly darker, improving their visibility. How to install?· Copy the folder "Ambiance-bordered" into your ~/.themes folder, or into /usr/share/themes to install for all users (including "sudo" applications).About GNOME:GNOME is an international effort to build a complete desktop environment—the graphical user interface which sits on top of a computer operating system—entirely from free software. This goal includes creating software development frameworks, selecting application software for the desktop, and working on the programs which manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management.GNOME is part of the GNU Project and can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, most notably Linux, and as part of Java Desktop System in Solaris. The name originally stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment, though this acronym is deprecated. The GNOME project puts heavy emphasis on simplicity, usability, and making things “just work”. Requirements: · gtk+ · GNOME
