units is a project which converts between different systems of units. units is a project which converts between different systems of units.GNU `units' converts between different systems of units. It can handle multiplicative scale changes as well as nonlinear conversions, such as Fahrenheit to Celsius. Over 2000 units definitions are included in a well-annotated data file.Here are some key features of "units":· Multiplication can be written with a `*' if desired.· Exponents can be written with '^' in units.· Exponents can be larger than 9 if written with `^'.· Sums of units can be converted.· The units data file is extensively commented.· Units which measure reciprocal dimensions can be converted.· Parentheses for grouping are supported.· Funtions such as sin, cos, and log are supported.· Roots of units can be computed.· Nonlinear units conversions are supported.What's New in This Release:· Added --one-line (-1) option which causes the program to print only one line of output.· Added --compact option which causes the program to print only the conversion factors and a newline on output.· Added build support for DESTDIR.· Made minor changes that allow the program to be compiled into a library and linked with other programs.· Fixed bugs (including bus error on Intel Mac) and added
