The project is more than an operating system for Raspberry Pi, it is a full software stack that allows users to manage secured self-hosting websites, email, files, etc. Who does it work? arkOS is distributed only as a graphical installation program for Linux and Mac OS X operating systems. The software will download the latest ISO image of arkOS, which will be written to a SD card connected to your computer. Once it is installed on your Raspberry Pi, arkOS will be ready for use, with all the services you want pre-installed.
