ThinLinc Description

A fast and versatile terminal server system. ThinLinc is a fast and versatile terminal server system. ThinLinc is based on open protocols such as TightVNC and SSH.The ThinLinc server software runs on Linux or Solaris, and can be used to distribute Linux/Unix desktops to thin clients. The system also supports additional application servers, such as Windows Terminal Server.This makes it possible to mix applications from different environments on the same desktop. ThinLinc supports redirection of sound, local printers, disk drives, and serial ports, on top of SSH. Clients for Windows, Linux, and Solaris are available. Additionally, there is a Java Browser Client, a small OS designed to run only the client (TLCOS) and a LiveCD. Client packages for several thin terminals, such as Fujitsu-Siemens Futro, Neoware, and VXL Itona, are also available.
