QSound iQ is an 3D surround plugin for both XMMS developed by Spatializer Labs and 4Front Technologies.IQ for Linux utilizes QSound's 3D audio technology to stretch the sound outside the physical location of the speakers - creating an immersive virtual surround sound field. Users will be able to enhance mono and low bit-rate MP3s that are streamed over the Internet. Laptop users will also be able to get highly enhanced stereo sound with iQ for Linux.Requirements:· XMMSInstallation:1. Read LICENSE file2. Run xminstall.sh3. Run XMMSClick on the Effects/General Plugin tab folder, click on the Effects selector button and you should see the Spatializer StreamFX plugin as one of the options If you don't see StreamFX as one of the options then please check your XMMS installation and locate the correct directory where your XMMS plugins are stored. You may also need to upgrade to the latest version of XMMS. High-light the option and click on the Enable Plugin button on the Effects Plugin panel.Click the Configure button and this will bring up the StreamFX control panel. You can now start playing your mp3, wav, mod file and start changing various values on the StreamFX control panel.Usage:3D-StereoSpace: controls the amount of 3D-stereo soundCenter: controls the amount of monaural (center) soundV.i.B.E.Bass: controls the amount of conventional bass-boostVirt. Bass: controls the amount of virtual bass-boostColor: controls the timbre of the virtual bassHeadphones (only used when listening over headphones)Angle: adjusts the position of "virtual loudspeakers". Slider full left is both directly in front (mono); middle is about +/-45 degrees, full right is about +/-90 degrees.
