Pyxine Description
Pyxine is a set of Python bindings and an object-oriented wrapper for xine. Pyxine is a set of Python bindings and an object-oriented wrapper for xine. Using Pyxine it is possible to write simple (or complex) movie players in the Python programming language.Have you been wanting to write a video player in Python? (Perhaps for the PVR project you've been toying with?) Pyxine lets you play movies using libxine from Python.Requirements:· Python 2.2 or better. (2.1 might work?)· Modern GNU gcc/g++· xine-lib-1-beta4 (or better)If you want to hack the source, you'll also probably need:· SWIG (I'm using version 1.1)· GNU makeWhat's New in This Release:· Instructions for playing an audio file were wrong.· Added some notes about the example players.· Removed debugging calls to cerr.form().· Apparently ostream::form() is a (deprecated) GNU extension which causes gas for many.· Typo fix: Add namespace to std::ostringstream· Removed spurious (and wrong) 'inline' declaration.
