CPU frequency governor selector Description
Easily choose the governor for your CPU's frequency! CPU frequency governor selector is a simple script that allows you to choose the governor for your CPU's frequency. This is mostly intended as an alternative to the GNOME CPU frequency applet. It may not have as many options or be as convenient, but it doesn't rely on any aspects of GNOME and is handy under lightweight window managers. The script assumes that you've ran sudo chmod +s /usr/bin/cpufreq-selector so that any user can change CPU speed. If not and you don't want to allow anyone to change CPU speed, run this as root.Selecting a governor will apply that governor to all 4 or less CPUs.Developer commentsI've set it to apply to 4 to support quad-core processors. If you have less than 4 everything should be fine (it is on my dual-core) but if it throws up errors or you want more CPUs supported, let me know and I'll look into it. Requirements: · gtk+ · zenity
